Welcome to Positive Practice Living. This is my positive place to take a minute and breathe. I share my thoughts and experiences as I try to understand the world around me. I am a writer, a yogi, a mother, a wife and so much more. I believe in the power of love and I struggle constantly to balance doing too much and then doing too little. I write about all of these things. I do what I can to intentionally find a little bit of inspiration in the everyday.

{Wordless Wednesday} Nature's Beauty

The sunrise yesterday morning was breathtaking. As I walked through the house, I caught the array of colors out the corner of my eye and was amazed. I jumped for my phone to try to catch the ever changing light as the sun ascended into the sky.

I have some opinions about Daylight Savings Time, but I am able to be a little more positive about the whole ordeal when I can witness nature's beauty in this way.

For those of you experiencing Daylight Saving Time, have you had a hard time getting going this week? I know I have. This sunrise made me joyful in this moment, have you had anything like that happen recently? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments! Happy Wednesday!

  4. Our Daylight Saving isn't for another 2 weeks, at Easter weekend. Crazy isn't it? Always unsettles me, but I'm an early riser. Yesterday was a lovely sunrise here too. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Yes, we will get there again. The time change put us back in the dark for the mornings. But hopefully that will only last a couple weeks until the sun stays up longer. I am so glad that it's finally almost spring though.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing! Have a great week!

    1. Thanks! It's funny, we used to face the west, so we always got sunsets. Now we face the east so we always get sunrises. Either way, I love watching the colors set the tone of the day. I'm so glad you stopped by, have a great week!

    1. I tend to agree. It wasn't until we moved last year that I ever even saw the sun rises. I'm much more likely to sit out at night with a glass of wine to see the sunset though. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great week!

  16. I suppose it could be the lost hour but I attributed my malaise to more than a week of coughing and feeling crumby. I'm pro spring ahead and anti falling back, the longer the light the better and it's not all that safe for the kiddies or people up early and driving in the dark. I also know the farmers appreciate the extra daylight hour.

  18. Amanda,

Beautiful! I love spying the morning sunrise, too. You're right, the colors change quickly. Perhaps, we'll have a spectacular one today. It was cloudy yesterday morning but we have a sunny forecast today. :) BTW, I'd love it if you (all mewsic enthusiasts are welcome) would come by to vote in my latest round of BoTB!
