March Goals 2018


I truly believe in the power of setting intentions. The beginning of the month seems like as good of time as any to periodically make some goals. 

Honestly, I kept meaning to do this in February, but I never got around to doing it. This month I'm going to try again. 

I don't really know what I want this to look like yet. I have a tendency to not start something unless I know can organize the entire project. Probably why I didn't get started in February. 

I decided to just start and see where this goes. I'm trying to do better about just letting my thoughts flow instead of having to have everything planned out. 

Anyway, you get the picture. So enough rambling...

My March Goals 2018

1. Write March goals for the month and log progress 

Step one is to actually do the project. I am doing well so far, this month. The second part will be a little more tricky. I found this awesome app called "Journal It" that acts like a digital bullet journal. I want to use it to help me log my progress on all of these different goals including my novel, blog, and my gratitude journal.

2. Get through Four chapters on my novel

I'm currently in the editing stages of working on my novel. I have yet to publish a book and I want this to be my first. If I can do one chapter a week, that is a pretty good pace that I can sustain. Right now I am working on Chapter 8. So my goal is to have chapters 8, 9, 10 and 11 send out to my beta readers before April begins.

3. Go to my yoga studio 8 times

Though I do yoga consistently at home, there is a difference being in the studio. I really enjoy the energy and community that comes with practicing in a public space. Plus, my unlimited pass pays for itself at 8 classes, so it a good goal both financially and physically. The benefits of going twice a week are irreplaceable for my mood and overall energy.

4. Make an effort to have more family time

It is amazing how easily life gets busy and we go over a week without really sitting together and just enjoying each other's company. We do a lot of things, but I would really like to set aside time for that quality time together. It would be great to go have an adventure somewhere and really get lost together. 

5. Figure out my goals for my blog

I'm still trying to figure out exactly what I'm trying to get out of my blog. I enjoy connecting with people and I like to have the place to explore ideas. I want to spend some time this month to look at how I'm going to make that happen and figure out what type of routine I will create. Blogging is only a small part of my life, so I want to make sure these other priorities get accomplished first.


I am excited to look back at the beginning of April and see how I did this month. I never did February goals, so I can't really look back on those. I am excited about this month and hopefully some warmer weather.
