Inspiration Collection #2

As the week flies by, I read many articles of all types on the Internet. Ones that stand out or inspire me in a particular way, I try to bookmark so I can come back to them when my motivation runs slow.

Part of my love for blogging is connecting with others and sharing ideas. That led to my decision to begin the Inspiration Collection. I already keep track information and ideas through my blog, so it would make sense to add the inspiration I collect as well.

With that said...Here are some things that inspired me this week...

101 Ways to be Your Best Self

Urban Naturale

I really enjoyed this list. Several of the items are things I already do, like journaling, yoga, have a nightly routine and practicing positivity. Many suggestions are just good reminders like say thank you, be nice to yourself and live in the present. Things like scheduling self-care, learn a new word each day and learning a strategy game are good suggestions to expand my perspective and challenge myself. I really like the last one...keep growing. ''

Urban Naturale also offers a free "Be Your Best Self" Life Planner at the end of this post.

Building the Bridge Between Goals and Accomplishment
by Ye Chen via Medium

Ye Chen on Medium

Chen focuses on the importance of self-discipline to bridge the gap between goals and accomplishments. He discusses how to develop self-discipline and some methods to continue improving it. Embracing the awkwardness really stood out to me. It is hard to start new things and at times it feels like you are a fish trying to learn how to fly. As it turns out, there is a fish that can fly, and you can to, if you just keep at it, keep trying and keep evolving. Chen's article inspired me to focus on what I am intending to accomplish and cultivate my habits to make it happen.

Spring Will Come

My New Kentucky Home

I really needed this comforting reminder this week. It is still very cold here in the Pacific Northwest. The sun is starting to shine bringing warm moments, but they only make we wish for spring that much more. I appreciate Tanya's reminder that spring will come again, as it always does.

Colorful Decoupaged Cat Bowls and Tray

Sparkle Living

I love this decoupage idea! I didn't realize they had dishwasher safe mod podge, now I found a new hobby to play with. We've done lots of decoupage on notebooks and wood or canvas. Creating festive mugs and bowls would be a great next project.

Free Printable St. Patrick's Day Coloring Pages

I Should Be Mopping the Floor

I think these St. Patrick's Day free printable coloring sheets are adorable! I remember when my daughter was young we would spend hours coloring anything and everything. Now we tend to use these as a base for mixed media projects. I love using paint, markers, and items like poms poms, feathers, glitter and googly eyes to create fun art. This inspired a great way to spend an afternoon celebrating St. Patty's Day.

Lil Leprechaun Snack Mix

Marilyn's Treats

I love this simple idea for a festive snack. Party mixes are one of my favorite because it has a little bit of everything in it. This mix is easy to put together and works great as a grab and go treat. I didn't know there were mint M&Ms (pictured), but I think regular M&Ms for a rainbow treat would also be fun and still festive. We can snack on this while we work with our St. Patty's Day art project!

Low Carb Irish Cream Coffee Frappe

Low Carb Delish

I am dreaming of spring with this Irish Cream Frappe. I love the idea of making my own delicious coffee drinks at home instead of always buying them out. I have also recently learned how to make my own whipped cream, which I love doing. I'm excited to try some extra flavor in that and putting it all together. This is another festive St. Patty's day treat, or for anytime really.

Irish Mule

Cooking with Curls

Continuing with the Irish theme, I found this recipe for Irish Mules. I happen to love Moscow Mules and the idea of using Irish Whiskey instead of Vodka sounds like a great trade. This will be perfect to go with our traditional Corned Beef and Cabbage St. Patty's day dinner.

Oreo Lovers No Bake Cheesecake Bars

Delightful E Made

These Oreo cheesecake bars look amazing. Cheesecake is my favorite and this oreo version will have smiles from my whole family. The recipe looks easy enough for even I to attempt.

I encourage conversation about the inspiration collection. Do any of these ideas inspire you? Does any particular one stand out? Did you find any inspiration this week? Share it in the comments, I would love to hear about it!
